Ear Microsuction

Irrigation, Syringing & Cleaning

At Ear View Ltd, we are proud to offer an Award Winning clinical ear care service specialising in microsuction ear wax removal and also offering ear irrigation services.

We provide treatment for excessive wax build-up in the ears and to treat blocked ears. If you are noticing that you are not hearing well, have ear pain, ear discomfort, suffering with tinnitus symptoms, feeling dizzy or you’re a hearing aid user and aware that you’re not getting as much benefit from them then we can help!

Ear irrigation, or ear syringing as it was previously known, is used less commonly now but it is still an effective way of removing excessive ear wax and cleaning the ear canal

A gentle, low pressured flow of water is used to flush the wax out of the ear canal and then the ear is dried post-procedure. Your tympanic membrane (ear drum) is then inspected to ensure that it is healthy and then we will discuss good ear hygiene for future reference too.

Ear Irrigation & Syringing Services

Microsuction is the most effective method of ear wax removal and most commonly used.

It uses gentle, low level suction to gently extract the wax through a thin tube without the need for water. It is performed under a microscope to give your audiologist a full view of the ear canal at all times during the procedure.

What is microsuction & how does it work?

Ear irrigation, or ear syringing as it was previously known, is Microsuction is considered more beneficial for ear wax removal as it is performed safely and efficiently under a microscope to ensure no damage is done to the ear canal or tympanic membrane (ear drum) resulting in continued good ear health. The removal of the ear wax, if completely blocking the ear canal, can improve your hearing and also maintain good ear hygiene.
